Have a wonderful weekend HPE!

Today is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! The SRO assignment is unique within the law enforcement profession. These officers fill a three-part role, serving as informal mentors or counselors, law educators and law enforcement officers to support the students and communities they serve. Thank you Officer Chatham, for all you do to keep us safe!

We are excited for all students to have the opportunity to enjoy a doughnut with their mom or a female guardian on Wednesday!

It's National School Counselor Week! One of Mrs. Hopper's main standards is to collaborate with families, teachers, principals and other school staff to help students be successful. She works side by side with our other counselors, Mrs. Rainey and Mrs. Phillips to get students the resources they need. We are so thankful for all three of them and the work they do! #NSCW24

It's National School Counseling Week! Through exercises in class, in group discussions, or even one-on-one conversations, Mrs. Hopper wants to help students learn coping skills, how to work well with fellow students, how to make informed decisions and even how to take responsibility for their actions. These are all important skills that help us be good friends, family members and, someday, employees. #NSCW24

Today is the first day of National School Counseling Week. The theme of this year’s week is “School Counselors: Standards-Based, Student-Focused.” Did you know that counselors have standards for school counseling, just like teachers have standards for learning? Our counselor, Mrs. Hopper, uses the standards to help our students build a strong foundation for learning! #NSCW24
