BMS partnered with NAMI SC, Hayden Hurst Foundation, Hilinski's Hope, and Same Here Global to increase mental health awareness, stop the stigma and Go Lime Green for a Mental Health Awareness event at the basketball game on Thursday, January 18th.
Mrs. King received a certificate on behalf of BMS for being selected as a Go Lime Green: Mental Health Matters school. Way to go Warriors!




Students in Mrs. Baldwins class completed an activity to practice percent of a number and percent proportion today!

We will partner with NAMI South Carolina, Hayden Hurst Foundation, Hilinski's Hope, and Same Here Global to increase mental health awareness, stop the stigma, and Go Lime Green during the boys and girls basketball games this Thursday.
All are encouraged to attend and wear lime green. During the month of January our students had a guidance lesson on, "We All Have Mental Health" sharing why mental health is important to promote. NAMI will have a table set up at the games tomorrow along with giveaways. The 6th grade traveled to Roper Mountain Science Center to learn about Weather, Climate, and the Solar System!











BHP Bear Shuffle Career Expo. Local industries shared career opportunities along with interview questions. Students were encouraged to think about how to answer the question in an interview. Great exposure for students on what to expect in the future!








Coach V and Coach Finley visited with our 8th grade students and reviewed, "Becoming a BHP Bear" and what to expect as a 9th grader! We appreciate them taking the time to meet with our students and provide them with information about being a Bear at BHP.

BMS Families out of an abundance of caution and due to the possibility of high winds ASD2 will be on an eLearning Day tomorrow (Tuesday, January 9th). Students will complete class assignments through Google Meets tomorrow from home. Please see the schedule below we will follow tomorrow. January is School Board Recognition Month and we are so grateful for our amazing board members! From all of us at Belton MS, thank you for your continued support, dedication and love for us all in ASD2.

We love to see our students making a difference and caring for those in their community! Can food drive for BIMA was successful thanks to our Warriors and Student Council.


During January our 6th & 8th graders will have a guidance lesson from Mrs. Engram on, "We All Have Mental Health."
Students will learn more about mental health, ways to keep their minds healthy, and the difference between everyday feelings & overwhelming feelings.


Our 6th-8th graders reviewed expectations to reset for a great 2nd semester at BMS!
