2023 BMS Junior Scholars
Students that either scored 550 on Reading & Writing and/or 530 on Math for the PSAT.



Underground Teacher/Staff Spirit Week this week has been a blast!
Dress like friends today and these friends nailed the Outer Banks look.



Dress like your favorite holiday and it's safe to say Mrs. Engram either really loves Christmas or Christmas Tree Cakes!


Students in 6th grade science participated in a lab testing how light waves interact with different materials. They learned how waves can be transmitted, reflected or absorbed!








Gossip & Glitter
During the month of November our 8th graders had a guidance lesson on how gossip sticks.






Teachers and staff dressed up for Royalty Day!


Students in Mrs. Sauceman's Strategies classes completed a team building activity building towers out of spaghetti noodles and marshmallows.
Students were placed in groups with the intent of listening to their team members and were encouraged to respect their team members ideas.







Khyli Mayes, 6th grade Class Representative, led the pledge at the ASD2 School Board Meeting last night.

Students in Mrs. Tribble's SC History class used chalk pens to make venn diagrams that compared the Articles of Confederation to the US Constitution.
The students really enjoyed this activity!











Veterans Day Program
"Honoring All Who Served"











Reminder that BMS will hold our Veteran's Day Ceremony tomorrow - Friday, November 10th at 8:30 am in the gym. We would like to welcome all Veteran's in our community to attend to be honored. In addition, our ceremony is also open to all BMS parents. We hope to see you there.


Holy Cow, we are Udderly grateful for Mr. Conover's lessons on dairy cows and getting to make ice cream in Agriculture!

Students in Ms. Yarbrough's classes worked on inferencing skills. They had to solve a riddle to determine what tool was being used and then had to create their own riddle. When they finished their riddles, others guessed what tool was being described by their classmates.
